I am Jennifer Pawlik, your Arizona State Representative in Legislative District 17, Chandler, Sun Lakes, and Gilbert. I serve on the House Judiciary, Education and Joint Legislative Audit committees. Elected in 2018, I am an active member of the Democratic caucus, the Latino caucus, the Community and Legislative Partners in Aging forum, and I served on the joint legislative dyslexia study group in the fall of 2019. My priorities include education, healthcare, and creation of jobs. I enjoy being the voice for my constituents and I would love to meet with you and hear your concerns, whether you are down at the Capitol or out in the neighborhood.
I am a native Arizonan and attended Arizona schools from kindergarten through college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, and then earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught for twenty years, nine of which were in the Chandler Unified School District. I teach undergraduate students in the College of Education at Northern Arizona University, Chandler-Gilbert Community College campus.
When I am not engaged in legislative, education, and community activities, I enjoy spending time with my husband of twenty-four years, Jason Pawlik, and my adult twin daughters. We have loved living, working, and playing in Chandler for twelve years, and we look forward to many more!
