I am Jennifer Pawlik, your Arizona State Representative in Legislative District 17, serving the people of Chandler, Sun Lakes and Gilbert on the House Judiciary and Education committees. I am an active member of the Democratic caucus, the Latino caucus, and the Community and Legislative Partners in Aging forum. My priorities include education, mental health, and criminal justice reform. I enjoy being the voice for my constituents and I would love to meet with you and hear your concerns, whether you are down at the Capitol or out in the neighborhood.
I am a native Arizonan and attended Arizona schools from kindergarten through college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, and then earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught for twenty years, nine of which were in the Chandler Unified School District. I currently serve as an Executive Trainer for Spalding Education International, training both public and charter school teachers throughout the state. I also teach undergraduate students in the College of Education at Northern Arizona University, Chandler-Gilbert Community College campus.
When I am not engaged in legislative, education, and community activities, I enjoy spending time with my husband of twenty-three years, Jason Pawlik, and my college-aged twin daughters. We have loved living, working, and playing in Chandler for eleven years, and we look forward to many more!
