Each of the thirty legislative districts in Arizona has two elected Representatives. Therefore, in the General Election, constituents are given the opportunity to vote for two people. The two candidates who receive the most votes go to the State Capitol as our elected officials.
But it's not mandatory to vote for two candidates. LD-17 constituents deserve to have a balanced voice in the Legislature, not a partisan voting bloc that currently exists with two Republican Representatives. Electing a Democrat will help ensure that all opinions in the District are represented fairly.
If you agree and believe that the minority party candidate should win one of the House seats, voting ONLY for that person will ensure their numbers increase, and will help them capture the second seat.
